Our History
“Little Handprints” was established in 2015. Owner Shaleese Martin was pursuing her degree in Early Childhood when she realized her family needed her in the home. So, Shaleese changed her plans of being a director in a Center based child care to owning her own small family home child care. The rest is history in the making!
Owners Bio
Shaleese Martin
Mrs. Shaleese has been a Licensed childcare owner since 2005. She decided to enter the Early Childhood field after her husband of 20yrs retired from the army. Shaleese has 30 units of ECE units and years of Early childhood education. She has a passion for early learning, especially enriching young minds through play and mindful experiences. In her free time Shaleese enjoys traveling, hiking, dancing and spending time with her family.

Little Handprints is a Licensed Family Childcare with teachers that are committed to the principles that learning begins at birth. We support the emotional, social, and intellectual development of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children in a safe, nurturing high- quality child care environment.
Philosophy
Family child care in a “home like” setting is the best alternative there is for working parents. It provides a small secure environment for children during the most important time of their development.
